近年来，男女20公里竞走一直是中国田径的优势项目。伦敦奥运会一金两铜、莫斯科世锦赛一银一铜、北京世锦赛一金两银的战绩可谓显赫。而刘虹、吕秀芝、王镇、陈定四大主力在屡屡斩获奖牌的同时，也在不断积累着大赛经验，逐渐成长为国际名将，组成中国竞走的四大支柱。

件的最终处罚结果。中国男篮主教练邓华德和三名主要参与斗殴球员朱芳雨、张博、孙悦均受到不同程度的处罚。国际篮联的罚单直指中国男篮主教练邓华德，国际篮联给出的处罚解释是因为在邓华德吃到两个技术犯规后没有及时离开比赛场地，反而继续留在球场。随后发生了中国球员与巴西球员的群殴事件，导致比赛被迫终止。邓华德被处罚禁赛三场，并罚款4万瑞士法郎(约合人民币27万元)。国际篮联给出的解释无疑认为邓华德在比赛中的行为是引发中巴群殴事件的导火索！国际篮联主要惩罚了参加群殴事件的三名中国球员，处罚分别是朱芳雨被禁赛两场，孙悦张博被各禁赛一场。国际篮联也批评了中国篮协在这次事件中应承担的责任，中国篮协被罚款2万瑞士法郎(约合人民币13万6千元)。同时中巴战中当值三名裁判被禁止吹罚国际比赛一年。最后国际篮联希望中国男篮主教练邓华德在两年的缓刑期内可以表现出高尚的体育道德并以此作为很好的模范。
